Jason was born and raised in Homestead, FL in 1976 on an air force base. Generations of his family members served in the military, but he followed a different path. He showed an early talent and interest in the visual arts. He received a Bachelors of Illustration Degree in 2002 from Ringling School of Art and Design, graduating with high honors. He moved to Boston, where he was an artist-in-residence at The Vernon Street Studios. In 2009, he returned to Miami and currently is an artist-in-residence at the Bakehouse Art Complex. He has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout the United States including multiple solo and group exhibitions. Some notable group shows include “Where The Land is Free”, Audrey Love Gallery, 2019, “Bedrock” two person show Swenson Gallery, 2018, “Satis House” Artium Gallery curated by Noor Blazekovic. Notable solo shows include “Fantasy Reflected”, Artium Gallery, Miami, 2016, “Self-Reflected”, Boca Raton Library, Boca Raton, 2016, “Through the Looking Glass” WEC Gallery, Miami, 2015, curated by Ananda DeMello. In 2016, he was awarded a grant by the National Endowment of the Arts to support his studio practice. His work can also be found in many private collections.
